Avon Gorge Hotel Wedding Photography – Jenny & Steve

I still remember recieving the email from Jenny asking me to be her wedding photographer at the Avon Gorge Hotel in Bristol. I knew i’d want to cover her wedding when the title of her inital email was “Dog wedding photography”!! She started excitedly telling me about her big day and the fact that her two dogs Sam and Minnie would be at the wedding, as a massive dog fan, I was hooked!

Jenny & Steve took advantage of my bespoke pricing structure and booked me for the main part of their big day. I don’t offer just a flat price for the entire day as I’d rather offer couples more flexibility in how long they want a photographer at their wedding for. It is their day after all, I’m just there as an observer with a nice camera!

When I arrived at Avon Gorge, Jenny and Steve were already with eachother, these guys laughed in the face of tradition, which im my eyes, is pretty darn cool!!! They headed up to the ceremony room together, met their guests together and walked up the isle together, loved it!

Their beautiful little ceremony was full of laughs and was beautiful in it’s simplicity. After the ceremony we all headed outside for a good old fashioned drink and cuddle with Sam and Minnie. These guys really were the stars of the day, it was basically like shooting a wedding with a couple of Hollywood A-listers, everyone wanted to say hello!

We took a quick walk up to the Clifton Suspension bridge for some very very relaxed portrait shots, nothing too over the top or posed just nice and chilled, just the way I like it.

Jenny & Steve’s day really was brilliant, it suited their personalities perfectly and was an absolute joy to cover.
