Ellie & Jon – Treowen House, Wales Wedding Photography

Treowen House is venue I am very familiar with having shot many weddings there over the last few years. It’s one of my favourite venues out there, a Grade I listed building, it’s one of Monmouthshire’s most unusual historic houses. Containing multiple panelled rooms, stunning staircases, beautiful wall art and a cosy atmosphere to die for.

Ellie and Jon were two of the most laid back couples you could ever meet. Ellie runs a wedding planning business, so as you can imagine, everything was planned down to the finest detail from the amazing flowers right through to the awesome details knocking about the house.

My day started off covering Ellie getting ready, the bridal suite at Treowen is amazing, loads of nice light coming in, nice high ceilings, ideal! It was also where one of my very favourite photographs of the last year was taken. Ellie’s dad came in to see her in her dress for the first time and proceeded to give her a massive hug, Ellie’s sister was looking on and boom, combined with the amazing light, a lovely image was created.

The rest of the day continued in this same fashion, loads of emotion, lovely light and a very friendly bunch of wedding guests. Combine this with the amazing homemade wedding breakfast that Ellie’s super talented sister created and you have a perfect day.

Treowen House and my style of wedding photography are perfectly suited. It’s a very relaxed venue, and one where you can put your own stamp on things. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you are getting married at Treowen and want to chat about me photographing your big day.

Treowen House, South Wales documentary wedding photographerMid Summer last year saw me making the regular trip to be the Treowen House, South Wales documentary wedding photographer for Ellie & John’s big day.
