Bore Da! Time for another lovely wedding, all the way from Craig Y Nos Castle near Swansea in Wales. Welsh weddings are generally awesome, not only does it allow me top my accent up, but they are always fun-filled, a bit wild, relaxed, super friendly with a good dose of hywl! Wayyy back in 2019 Jenny & Kevin asked me to be their Craig Y Nos Castle wedding photographer. Obviously, I enthusiastically accepted. Being a Swansea boy, Craig y Nos holds a special place in my heart. I always remember going there when I was a kid, the chance to bounce around a castle and explore the beautiful grounds always made for a proper good day out – I never thought that 30 odd years down the line I’d be back there, photographing weddings, strange how life turns out huh!
Anyway, enough about my life growing up in Wales! Onto the wedding! Jenny and Kev booked me to photograph from just before the ceremony to just after their speeches. The warmth and friendship displayed by Jenny and Kevin and their friends and family really blew me away, felt like part of the family by the time I went home – always a sign of a great wedding!
I feel incredibly lucky to be able to share peoples’ days with them, fitting in with a wedding is incredibly important to me and enables me to photograph people how they truly are.
Time for some of my favourite documentary wedding photographs from this most lovely of days.
If you are getting married at Craig Y Nos Castle or in Wales, or anywhere else for that matter, and are wanting a photographer who just goes with the flow, do drop me a line.
