Venue Spotlight – Treowen House, Monmouth Wales

There are hundreds and hundreds of absolutely AMAZING wedding venues out there. Choosing the perfect one can be a tricky task. So many things to consider aren’t there? As a wedding photographer I have travelled to many, many venues, I dread to think of how many, but suffice to say, I’ve been to a few!

This article, Venue Spotlight – Treowen House, Monmouth Wales aims to give you a bit of an insight into why I love this venue, what it can offer and why you should consider it for your wedding.

To kick things off, let’s head over to the border region of England and Wales and the hidden gem that is Treowen House. A Grade I listed building, sat in the rolling South Wales countryside, it’s one of Monmouthshire’s most unusual historic houses. Containing multiple paneled rooms, stunning staircases, beautiful wall art and a cosy atmosphere to die for.

The great thing about Treowen is you book the entire house and grounds and can basically, within reason, do what you like with the place. You want an outdoor ceremony, head to the grand south facing facade and you’ve got it. Want a ceremony with a more cosy feel, head indoors to the ceremony room which has beautiful light flooding in from the lead lined windows.

Catering is another element where you have full control. You can opt for a bbq and sit on the lawn, stuffing tasty burgers down you, or hire caterers in who can use the in-house kitchen to cook up a storm.

Treowen offers a range of stunning reception rooms, each with their own unique charm. If your guests are travelling from far and wide, no problems, Treowen has plenty of accommodation for them.
