The Bristol Pavilion Wedding Photography – Eloise & Mark

Back on a rather cold March day last year I headed over to Bristol to photograph the wedding of Eloise and Mark. Eloise actually went to school with my wife, so there was a bit of a link there which is always nice.

My day started over at Eloise’s place with her and her brides maids and family all getting ready. Make-up was being sorted out by Rachel from Be Beauty in Keynsham, this girl knows her stuff and is awesome to work with! Whilst everyone was getting ready I overhead the unmistakable drone of a VW aircooled engine outside, as I peared out, I spotted the MOST gorgeous 1960s VW split-screen camper! She was immaculate, lovingly restored by a friend of the family, the attention to detail on it was mind-blowing. This was going to be Eloise’s ride to the wedding, class!

Once everyone was ready we all made our way over to The Bristol Pavilion for the wedding itself. Mark rocked up, might have been a bit late…something to do with Arsenal, but was cool as you like, can’t fault that!

The wedding itself was a lovely warm and friendly ceremony, with some really funny and emotive moments. Once the I-do’s were sorted it was onto the reception itself where everyone let their hair down and had a thoroughly amazing time!

Now, right at the end of the day, just after the first dance was one of the most emotional moments I’ve ever photographed. Eloise had lost her dad a few years previous to the wedding and unbeknown to her, her sister had arranged for the DJ to play a song with some of her dad’s voice from old recordings to played over the top of it. What an amazing thing to do, safe to say there wasn’t a dry eye in the house, and I include myself in that.

Absolutely loved Eloise and Mark’s big day, it was full of emotion, humour and friendliness, 100% the ideal wedding!
