Pier 64 Cardiff Documentary Wedding Photographer

Ian provided us with an amazing service and the photos are of excellent quality he really captured the essence of our wedding day.. thankyou! Simon and Alison

The manic blog catching up continues! I’m slowly getting there…just all of 2018 and a couple more from 2017 to upload, my new years resolution is to keep up to date with my blogging, not letting it slip this far again!!

Wayyyyyyyy back in the October of 2017 (told you I’m behind!) I was commissioned as Alison and Simon’s Cardiff Wedding Photographer. They booked me after being referred onto me by a couple of their mates, who’s wedding I’d shot back in the day at Cardiff City Hall. I’ve always said it, but referrals really do make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, it’s not only a seal of approval for past work, but it’s also great to see past couples again and see what they are up to.

Alison and Simon’s wedding took place down in the lovely Pier 64, in Penarth Marina, Cardiff. A lovely little restaurant, with a great atmosphere and fabulous location. Alison and Simon took advantage of my flexible structure when it comes to booking and booked me for just before their ceremony to the end of their reception, a great way to get a lovely selection of images without breaking the bank.

As seems to be the case with all the Welsh weddings I shoot fun was the order of the day, with everyone properly letting their hair down and being as loud as possible (love it!). I always find it a real buzz to shoot weddings like this, where there is always something going on and where I can get right in the thick of the action. My style of fun, documentary wedding photography fits this style of wedding perfectly, allowing me to seamlessly blend in to the day.

Take a look at some of my favourite images from the day. If you are getting married at Pier 64, or elsewhere in Cardiff or Wales, drop me a line and tell me all about it.
