Tabitha & Chris – Newton Park Farm, Milton Keynes photography

Referrals from previous clients are always lovely to receive, turning up to weddings where you spy familiar faces is always nice and having a couple booking you based directly on someone’s recommendation is great for the ego!

Tabitha and Chris got in touch off the back of me photographing their friends’ wedding a few years back. Their big day took place just outside Milton Keynes, a bit further afield than my usual Welsh and Bristol based weddings, was nice to go a bit further afield and photograph in a different part of the country.

Their ceremony took place in All Saints Church in the beautiful village of Turvey in Bedfordshire, turning up there with the sun out in full force was a joy to behold. Once I’d had a good look around the village and chatted to the very friendly locals, I wandered down to Tabitha and Chris’ home where Chris was getting ready with his best man and usher. Plenty of jokes were on hand, whilst all the while trying to stop their very friendly cat from destroying Chris’ wedding shoes! Everything was calm and chilled, even down to Chris and his mates grabbing a cheeky solero on the way to the church

The church service followed, with plenty of hugging in the church grounds afterwards. We then all made the short hop over to their reception, which took place in the beautiful setting of Newton Park Farm on the outskirts of Milton Keynes. The farm is set in beautiful Bedfordshire countryside, with lovely rustic buildings, large lake and super relaxed vibe. The setting lent itself beautifully to my style of documentary wedding photography, I always find these types of relaxed venues immediately put guests at ease and really encourage a fun, chilled atmosphere. Rocking up to the farm, I was immediately greeted by warm Welsh Cakes, now, anyone who knows me, knows these are up there with my favourite cakes, it was a great start to the festivities! A lovely drinks reception followed, with the speeches flowing on afterwards.

Tabitha and Chris had laid on a brilliant selection of lawn games, including the much loved retro activities such as sack racing and limbo! Always good for a laugh, these games were great fun to photograph, with guests falling about all over the place.

Take a look at some of the selected images from this beautiful day. If you are getting married in Bedfordshire, or anywhere else in the UK, drop me a line.
