Gloucestershire Wedding Photographer – Anna & Matthew

Gloucestershire, Cotswolds Wedding Photography a fun, summer weddingGloucestershire, Cotswolds Wedding Photography a fun, summer wedding, such a cool, relaxed wedding. During last summer, I shot the wedding of Anna & Matthew in the lovely little Cotswold village of Hawkesbury Upton. What an absolute BELTER of a day, so much fun, it had everything, cracking church service, bacon sarnies, lawn games and plenty of love and laughter.

I kicked off my heading to where Anna was getting ready. It was chaos, in a good way, there were bacon sarnies, dogs and covid tests (as a note, photos of covid testing, whilst not glamorous are a sign of the times we lived in back then and are an important thing to have documented). Anna and her mates were all brilliant fun, no one taking anything seriously at all, just my sort of scene.

Once everyone was suitably attired, we headed off to the church, again, a cracker of a church, nestled in the rolling hills just outside the village. We all then headed over to a marquee back in the village where the party really got going. Anna & Matt had laid on some amazing party games, some classics were there, such as splat the rat and the old favourite, limbo! There was a high level of skill on show from most of the guests, although I might have got it in the face by some bean bags at one point during the day. Lawn games are a cracking thing to have at any wedding. It’s a great way of getting everyone involved and can create a really nice buzz during the reception.

Anyway, enough going on by me, take a look at some of my favourite photos from the day. Don’t forget, if you’re after a photographer who will get stuck into the action, drop me a line. I operate throughout the UK, including Bristol, Bath and Wales.
