Destination wedding photographer – worldwide wedding photography
I have covered weddings all over the world and absolutely love to travel. My style of relaxed documentary wedding photography lends itself perfectly to destination weddings. My style of photography flows naturally and is adaptable to any situation, meaning that no matter what happens, you’ll get beautifully natural photographs that cover it.
I always incorporate the local environment into my destination wedding photography. This is extremely important as adding context to wedding photographs is the core of my ethos on natural, documentary wedding photography.
Destination Wedding Photography Spotlight – Lindos, Greece
I photographed a lovely destination wedding on the beautiful island of Lindos, Greece a couple of years back. Gem and Stu got married at the beautiful St. Pauls Chapel and then headed into Lindos town for a mammoth 100000 course meal at the amazing Melenos Hotel and then a bit of dancing action at a local taverner. The weather was off course, beautiful! It was hot…very hot, like 38 degrees hot. It definitely provided a bit of a challenge on the photography front that’s for sure. Luckily I was out in Lindos a few days before the wedding so went on plenty of runs in the heat to get used to it…it definitely helped!
One of the things I always do with my destination weddings, is get out to you a good few days before the day itself. This means I can become acclimatised to the temperature if needs be, but also gives me the chance to sit down and chat about the plans for the day, as well as have a look at your venue.
Here’s a couple of the images from Gem and Stu’s beautiful destination wedding.
If you have a destination wedding and are on the lookout for a destination wedding photographer, drop me a line to discuss your plans with me. As a general rule I charge a flat rate of £500 on top of my package prices to cover destination weddings.
