Jo & Mark – Combe House Hotel, Bridgewater Wedding Photography

Twas the first time I’d ever been to the beautiful Combe House Hotel in Bridgewater, a privately owned country house hotel located in Somerset’s beautiful Quantock Hills. Jo & Mark’s day was all about FUN! It was a blur of amazing moments, including Mark throwing confetti out of a custom made bum bag whilst walking up the isle, kids trying their hand at spinning plates, me avoiding being taken out my a space hopper and some real ‘in the moment’ vibes on the dance floor.

When I arrived a few of the guests were busy chatting away, with the kids trying to hone their plate spinning technique, I always love the moment just before the ceremony where there is an air of nervous excitement buzzing around. The ceremony took place outside in the beautiful gardens that the hotel sits in, a lovely space, was a really touching ceremony with Jo and Mark reading their own personalised vows to one another. As soon as the ceremony finished, TMark got out his psychedelic bum bag, or fa**y pack depending where you’re from, and lobbed a load of confetti at the wedding party. I have to admit, this is the first time I’ve ever seen this, so kudos for the originality Mark! Once the formalities were done and dusted, it was onto the important part of any wedding, the drinking and partying, everyone was super friendly and made me feel like I was a guest there myself. It’s safe to say Jo & Mark’s day had super relaxed tone to it, everyone letting their hair down and having the best day ever.
