Bath based documentary wedding photographer

I’m Ian a Bath wedding photographer. I have lived in Bath for a good few years now and absolutely love living here, it has all the charm of a small town, with the amenities of a larger city. It’s also an amazing place to get married. If you want to find out about what you can expect from your Bath wedding, read on.

Bath wedding photographerThere are so many Bath venues to hold an amazing wedding at. You have incredible Georgian architecture at every turn. Venue wise, you can opt for a civil ceremony at the Registry Office at Bath Guildhall. An amazing building and perfect for a city centre wedding.

A stone’s throw away from the Guildhall you’ll find Parade Gardens right next to the River Avon which has panoramic views of Pulteney Bridge. You can actually get married in the formal gardens as well!

A bit further out from the centre of Bath, is Priston Mill. It’s set in a beautiful location, just a few miles from Midsomer Norton. It has stunning views of the surrounding countryside and is set in beautifully kept grounds. There are two venues within one at Priston. You have both The Tythe Barn and The Watermill both of which are historic buildings, both with a slightly different vibe. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing a good few weddings at Priston Mill, I can highly recommend it. Go and have a little nose at their website to find out some more information.

Orchardleigh House is another venue which is worth a look at. It is a country estate in Somerset, two miles north of Frome, and just down the road from Midsomer Norton. This privately held estate is mind-blowing, it’s massive with the stunning manor house at the centre of it. This venue is big enough to land a helicopter at, should you wish, and can accommodate any size of wedding. You can also book exclusive use of this venue, which I always think helps a wedding be that little bit more special. Their website is well worth a look.

The final venue I’d like to draw your attention to is Radford Mill Farm. This is a real hidden gem, based just 2 miles from Midsomer Norton, it has ec0 credentials at the very core of its operation. They have two locations where you can tie the not, The Piggery and The River Meadow, I mean, how idyllic do they sound! Take a look at their website, definitely worth a consideration if you are looking for a more natural, down to earth wedding venue.

Where do I travel?

As far as my little legs will carry me (believe me I'm little as well...5 foot 6 all in)! I don't charge extra for any travel within the good old UK.

I love planes, so any opportunity to jump on one to a far flung place is good with me. For destination weddings in Europe, I simply add on £500 to cover travel and accommodation costs. Best get in touch and chat through what your plans are.

Micro-weddings & bespoke pricing.

Are you having a micro-wedding? Or after something extra? Like a second photographer, or album, or a rendition of ‘Mae hen fy nhadau’ from myself*? Please get in touch to discuss.

*I might be Welsh but I can’t sing for shit!
