Leanne & Marcus – Llantarnam Abbey / St. David’s Hotel – Newport & Cardiff Wedding Photography

Leanne & Marcus got married late May in Llantarnam Abbey just outside of Newport, South Wales. I second shot this wedding with another local photographer, I always enjoy second shooting a wedding and try to do it as much as possible when I have a bit of free time. It’s good to build up working relationships with fellow wedding photographers and nice to be able to take a step back from the main photographers duties.

We were there to cover from the preparations up until just before the wedding breakfast. As a documentary photographer it was a nice little wedding, some interesting architectural features meant it was easy to include more context within the photographs. Documentary photography is about telling a story, I always aim to include the environment in shots, providing a more interesting image than a tight in head shot.
