Some Craig y Nos Castle, South Wales, Swansea Wedding Photography for you? Craig y Nos Castle is a real gem of a venue. Built in the 1800’s it sits on the outskirts of Swansea, in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons National Park. It’s a venue that has a real charm to it, with it’s cosy ambience and amazing mural in the ceremony room.
Sarah & Paul’s big day was blessed with wall to wall sunshine, and was as chilled out as you could possibly imagine. The day started foe me up with Sarah as she made her final preparations for the big day. Bridal preparation is one thing I always enjoy photographing. There are so many wonderful moments that unfold, there is always a real buzz around this stage of the day. Everyone frantically getting ready, hair being tweaked, makeup being touched up, dresses being put on, it’s all action and makes for some great photographs.
Once Sarah was safely in her dress I made myself downstairs to spend a bit of time with Paul and his family, Paul was pretty much the calmest person around! You’d have never thought it was the biggest day of his life! We all headed into the ceremony room and awaited Sarah’s arrival. The ceremony room itself is something to behold, it’s actually a Grade II listed opera house, and features a mural of one of the previous owners of the castle riding a chariot!!!
After all the I do’s were done and dusted we all headed outside for a drinks reception in the sun. Myself and the happy couple sneaked off to the nearby country park to take some relaxed portraits. The wedding breakfast followed with some properly funny speeches. To round the night off, there was a good old fashioned disco where everyone was well oiled and provided plenty of great moments.
What a gorgeous wedding! The location was perfect! Love the outfit of the two cute boys!
