Sian & Ali – The Mill House, Berkshire Wedding Photography

How’s about a bit of Mill House Berkshire documentary wedding photography? Sian & Ali’s big day took place way back in March this year over at The Mill House, near Reading in Berkshire, the weather looked good for the day, everyone was on great form, and in the mood for a celebration. It was also the small matter of the final day in the Six Nations so the rugby fans among the guests were going through the full range of emotions as the day went on. Being Welsh, I was obviously the butt of numerous jokes throughout the day, all in good jest off course! Building up a good report with everyone at a wedding is extremely important to me, having this means folks are a lot more accepting of me being there and tend to ignore me a lot more, which makes for far more natural photography.

Sian and Ali wanted to take advantage of my natural style of wedding photography and were not that bothered to have a large number of group shots. This helps no end with the overall flow of a wedding. Cutting right back on the number of group shots allows guests to enjoy the day, without the worry of posing for numerous photos of basically the same thing. Sian and Ali did just that, they only had 5 shots, with the rest being the documentary style that I specialise in.

Loved this wedding, I was made to feel so welcome by Sian, Ali and their friends and families, genuinely didn’t want to leave at the end, even though I got a bit of a ribbing for being a Wales fan (pretty standard these days)!

We were so pleased we chose Ian to photograph our wedding day – all our guests commented on how friendly he was and how non-intrusive he was in his work. Most of the pictures Ian took were a complete surprise to us when we got to see them as he just blended in with our guests and captured the day perfectly as it was happening. His attention to detail is amazing – it is lovely to have such natural images to look back on as it really is like reliving our day every time we look at our wedding album. We would recommend Ian to any bride and groom without hesitation – he is worth every penny and his photos speak for themselves. It was a pleasure to have him photograph our special day 🙂
